A brightly coloured bus travelling CBD streets at night will be the highly visible focus of Mission Australia’s new campaign to tackle drug, alcohol and homelessness among Adelaide’s youth.

The “Youth Beat Bus” – to be based in identified inner-city public spaces where young people congregate at night – is Mission Australia’s latest outreach initiative to help young South Australians with limited means of support.

Adelaide City Council will today become the only Australian capital city council to use a real-time web-based chat window to communicate directly with residents, visitors, tourists – in fact anyone who’s looking for information about the City.

Launching today, CityChat works in a similar way to an instant messaging chat window, and offers a new and easy way to get in touch with Adelaide City Council’s Customer Service Centre.

We need locals with stories, people who want to leave their mark on the West End. Whether you live, study or work in the West End, we would love you to contribute your ideas and/or images. The Workshops run from 9:30am - 3:00pm. The lead artists Bob Daly & Kalyna Micenko will be in the Art Cafe to help, guide, be a spring board for ideas for participants wishing to contribute to the mural.

The aim of the project is to unite the West End through the creation of the West End Mural which will replace the existing 'Night Train Billboard'.
