West End Mural - Workshops at Higher Ground 25 - 26 May 2010

We need locals with stories, people who want to leave their mark on the West End. Whether you live, study or work in the West End, we would love you to contribute your ideas and/or images. The Workshops run from 9:30am - 3:00pm. The lead artists Bob Daly & Kalyna Micenko will be in the Art Cafe to help, guide, be a spring board for ideas for participants wishing to contribute to the mural.

The aim of the project is to unite the West End through the creation of the West End Mural which will replace the existing 'Night Train Billboard'.

It would be great if you and/or other people whom you work with could make a contribution to this exciting and iconic visual art project - even if its just half an hour during your lunch break come on down & join in! (and if you're not a member of our mailing list do join & get news of similar projects well in advance!)

Adelaide Artists, Bob Daly & Kalyna Micenko will oversee the project and have spent the last few months researching the history of the West End. We are now ready to involve as many creative local people as possible in the next phase of the project.

Together we will then spend June creating the 40m by 4m colossal Mural which will be mounted and hung as part of The SALA Festival. Its the biggest canvas we are ever likely to work on!
